Large PLA Filament Pack

Polylactic acid (PLA) is a biodegradable thermoplastic derived from renewable resources. Safe for school, this material is non-toxic and easy-to-print with high reliability and dimensional accuracy. MakerBot PLA Precision Model Material is ideal for the early stages of concept modelling and form studies. PLA printed objects will generally have a uniform, glossier look and feel.

MakerBot’s Precision Water-Soluble PVA Support System

MakerBot’s Precision Dissolving PVA ensures fast and effortless support removal for your most complex prints. Superior surface finish and unrestricted geometric freedom are paramount to delivering high quality printed parts. MakerBot Water-Soluble PVA ensures quick and easy support removal without compromising part design or dimensional accuracy.

MakerBot Water-Soluble PVA provides two key benefits:

Clean Air Module

Safety in the School environment is crucial. Clean Air utilizes top of the line HEPA filtration to remove Ultra Fine Particles from the air - leaving your environment as clean - if not cleaner than it was before. The Clean Air module plugs directly into METHOD’s onboard computer, allowing it to be throttled up or down depending on material and chamber temperature providing optimal environmental conditions both inside the build chamber and out.

When it’s time to replace your filters, Clean Air will let you know through your METHOD 3D printer’s touch display. Easily slide the old filter out and slide a new one in - no tools required.

Dry-Sealed Material Bays

Dry-Sealed Material Bays form a near-perfect seal to keep material free of damaging humidity. A suite of built-in sensors provides that your material is stored in its optimal environment—a feature previously only available in industrial 3D printers.

Dual Performance Extruders

The Dual Performance Extruder system is built from the ground up to accelerate print times and produce precise parts.

  • Smart sensors for material management and print protection
  • Greater torque with a 19:1 dual-drive gear ratio
  • Lengthened thermal core with less than 60-second heat up time
