Test a professional 3D or LiDAR scanner on your own projects before you commit to purchasing. If you buy a new eligible scanner within 30 days of returning the rental unit, we’ll credit the rental fee against the purchase price.

How Try Before You Buy Works
Our Try Before You Buy scheme allows you to evaluate selected professional 3D scanners and LiDAR scanners in your own working environment before committing to a purchase.
Selected SHINING 3D handheld scanners and 3DMakerpro LiDAR scanners may be available through the scheme, subject to equipment availability.

Tell us which scanner you are considering, what you need to scan and how you intend to use the resulting data.
Whether you are working with engineered components, automotive parts, buildings, interiors, manufacturing environments or other professional applications, our team can help identify a suitable evaluation system.
We will also confirm whether an appropriate evaluation unit is currently available.
Rent the Scanner for Evaluation
We arrange a short-term rental so that you can test the scanner using your own parts, projects, environments, software and workflow.
This gives your team an opportunity to assess scan quality, accuracy, scanning speed, ease of use, software workflow, file compatibility and overall suitability for your application.
Decide Whether It Is Right for You
At the end of the agreed rental period, simply return the evaluation unit to Daemon3D Print.
If you decide to purchase a new eligible scanner within 30 days of returning the rental unit, the rental fee you paid will be credited against the purchase price.
Delivery and return shipping costs are excluded from this credit.
Rental Unit Condition
The rental unit must be returned in good condition and complete with all accessories and components supplied at the beginning of the evaluation period.
Missing or damaged equipment may be charged separately and will not form part of the purchase credit.
Purchase Credit
If you purchase a new eligible scanner within 30 days of returning the evaluation unit, the rental fee paid will be deducted from the purchase price.
Delivery and return shipping charges are excluded. The rental credit cannot be exchanged for cash and additional rental terms may apply depending on the equipment supplied.
