The EinScan Rigil is a professional handheld laser 3D scanner designed for demanding workflows in reverse engineering, industrial inspection, product design, and digital archiving. The latest Rigil V1.2 update introduces improved scanning performance, expanded standalone functionality, and marker-free laser scanning workflows, giving users greater freedom when capturing objects in the field or workshop.

Equipped with a tri-mode scanning system—Single Line, Cross Line, and Multi Line—the Rigil adapts to different object geometries while maintaining high precision and stable tracking. Combined with hybrid light technology, integrated computing hardware, and wireless connectivity, the Rigil enables accurate, high-speed 3D capture without the complexity typically associated with industrial 3D scanning systems.


Rigil V1.2 – All-in-One Scanning, Evolved

The latest EinScan Rigil V1.2 update enhances the scanner’s standalone workflow and expands its tracking capabilities. One of the most important improvements is the introduction of marker-free laser scanning in standalone mode, allowing users to capture objects without applying reference markers while working directly from the scanner’s onboard interface.

V1.2 also introduces multi-project alignment in standalone mode, making it easier to merge multiple scans directly on the device without requiring a connected PC. This greatly improves flexibility when scanning large objects, complex assemblies, or multi-angle capture workflows in field environments.

Scanning performance has also been significantly improved. The updated engine increases overall efficiency by up to 50%, while the new 25+25 crossed laser line configuration improves coverage and tracking stability. In PC mode, parallel laser scanning can improve efficiency by up to 60%, while marker-free laser scanning workflows can achieve up to 250% faster scanning performance in suitable scenarios.

Alongside these new capabilities, the V1.2 update also delivers improved scan stability, tracking reliability, and processing performance across the entire scanning workflow. These optimisations help maintain accurate alignment during longer scanning sessions and reduce the likelihood of drift when capturing complex geometries.

This is particularly valuable when scanning large objects, reflective surfaces, or detailed mechanical components where maintaining tracking consistency is essential. Faster data processing also helps produce smoother scanning sessions with fewer interruptions during capture, making the EinScan Rigil an even more capable tool for engineers, inspection technicians, and reverse engineering specialists working both in the lab and in field environments.

EinScan Rigil features three dedicated scanning modes—Single Line, Cross Line, and Multi Line—making it adaptable for a wide range of scanning applications. Each mode is designed for different scanning scenarios, allowing users to balance speed, detail capture, and tracking stability depending on the geometry of the object being scanned.

Single-line scanning is ideal for capturing fine features and sharp edges, while cross-line scanning improves tracking performance across complex shapes. Multi-line scanning enables rapid data acquisition for larger surfaces such as automotive body panels, industrial components, or sculptural objects. Together, these modes allow operators to maintain consistent scan quality across a wide variety of surfaces and geometries.


Hybrid Light Source
