Shining3D Inspect adds a complete QC and metrology toolkit to the Rigil workflow. It enables precise alignment, part-to-CAD comparison, GD&T measurement, deviation mapping, and automated reporting — making it ideal for production environments, supplier validation, tooling checks, and engineering analysis.


Scan-to-CAD Alignment & Full-Field Deviation Analysis

Inspect accepts meshes and CAD models in a wide range of formats. It supports best-fit, datum-based, feature-based, and regional alignment workflows. Users can generate full-field deviation maps, tolerance bands, and statistics to identify part variation, wear, deformation, or tooling drift.


Feature Measurement, GD&T & On-Scanner Inspection

Inspect includes dimensional tools for surfaces, cylinders, slots, circles, edges, and more. GD&T controls — flatness, roundness, position, parallelism — can be applied directly to scan data. The software also supports guided on-scanner inspection routines for repeatable QC tasks in production environments.
