UltiMaker S6 3D Printer
The UltiMaker S6 is a high-speed, dual-extrusion FDM 3D printer designed for professionals in manufacturing, education, and defence sectors. It offers enhanced material control, advanced motion planning, and compatibility with UltiMaker's established ecosystem. The S6 supports demanding workflows such as prototyping, small-batch production, and application-specific part fabrication with improved surface quality and reliability.
Advanced Motion Control
At the core of the S6 is the UltiMaker Cheetah motion planner, capable of reaching speeds up to 500 mm/s and acceleration up to 50,000 mm/s². This advanced motion system enables significantly faster production while maintaining high dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
Combined with its dual extrusion capability, the S6 allows users to print complex geometries with dedicated support materials or multi-material parts in a single print job. This makes it especially well-suited for design, functional prototyping, and production tooling where speed, precision, and material flexibility are critical.

Build Plate Options
The flexible PEI-coated build plate provides strong adhesion during printing and allows easy part removal once cooled. It's designed to reduce print failures and eliminate the risk of chipping associated with rigid surfaces. Ideal for general prototyping and functional parts across multiple material types.
The glass build plate is best suited for environments requiring clean surfaces, such as medical or food-grade applications. It provides a smooth bottom finish and is easy to clean between prints. This configuration aligns with users already operating S3 or S5 platforms for consistent results.
Integrated Ecosystem Compatibility
The S6 supports full integration with UltiMaker’s ecosystem, including the Air Manager, Material Station, and Digital Factory for cloud-based print monitoring and control. It also includes a 60-day trial of Digital Factory and ships with UltiMaker Cura slicing software, which now features new Visual profiles for PLA and Tough PLA. These profiles enable up to 2.5× faster print speeds while maintaining high surface quality, especially when used in combination with UltiMaker’s optimised hardware and material workflows.
