THE K6™ PLA FR
THE K6™ PLA FR is a flame-retardant PLA engineered to meet UL94 V-0 self-extinguishing requirements, making it well suited for electronics, consumer devices, and safety-critical applications. It prints as easily as standard PLA but provides an additional layer of protection where reduced flammability is essential. This material offers stable performance, good surface quality, and reliable part consistency while adding fire-safe properties not found in typical PLA formulations.
| Material Compliance | Sustainability & Compliance Statement – Kexcelled PLA FilamentsKexcelled PLA filaments use a polylactic acid base, a bio-based polymer made from renewable plant-derived feedstocks. This gives the PLA component a renewable origin, although pigments, performance modifiers, flame-retardant additives and reinforcing fibres can change the composition of individual grades. PLA can be recycled through suitable specialist processes and can biodegrade under controlled industrial composting conditions. These properties of the base polymer do not establish that every PLA blend or printed part is compostable or accepted for recycling. Keep printing waste separated by grade and confirm acceptance with the receiving facility; PLA prints should not be placed in home compost or ordinary household recycling without explicit acceptance. For applications requiring REACH, RoHS, TSCA or California Proposition 65 compliance, confirmation should be based on current documentation covering the specific filament grade and colour. |
