Kexcelled THE K5™ PETG
Kexcelled THE K5™ PETG is a general-purpose PETG 3D printing filament designed for users who need a practical balance of strength, toughness, flexibility, and ease of printing. It is suitable for functional parts, prototypes, fixtures, display models, and everyday printed components where PLA may be too brittle and ABS may be harder to manage.
The material is formulated to provide good interlayer bonding, low odour, reliable toughness, and reduced buckling deformation during printing. This makes it a useful option for both workshop and production environments where consistent print behaviour matters across repeated jobs.
THE K5™ PETG prints at a recommended nozzle temperature of 235–275°C, with a heated bed temperature of 60–80°C. It can be used on PEI frosted build surfaces and supports active cooling between 0–50%, depending on the model geometry, printer setup, and required surface finish.
Benefits:
- Good balance of strength, toughness, and flexibility for general engineering and modelling work
- Strong interlayer bonding helps improve part durability across printed layers
- Low odour material suitable for regular desktop and workshop use
- Reduced buckling deformation compared with more temperature-sensitive materials
- Suitable for functional parts, prototypes, jigs, fixtures, brackets, and detailed models
Typical Applications:
K5 PETG is suitable for users who need printed parts with better toughness and practical durability than standard PLA, while still keeping the printing process manageable on modern FDM 3D printers.
- Functional prototypes and test parts
- Workshop jigs, fixtures, guides, and holders
- Protective covers, clips, brackets, and housings
- Display models and visual prototypes
- Parts that require better impact resistance than basic PLA
Printer Compatibility:
THE K5™ PETG is designed for FDM/FFF 3D printers using 1.75mm filament. The recommended settings are based on a 0.4mm nozzle, with a typical layer height of 0.2mm, shell thickness of 0.8mm or above, and print speeds up to 250mm/s depending on the printer and part requirements.

Why Choose Kexcelled THE K5™ PETG?
Kexcelled THE K5™ PETG is a strong everyday filament for users who need more toughness and practical durability than PLA, without moving into materials that require more demanding printer setups. It is a sensible option for functional printing, workshop parts, and general-purpose components where layer strength and impact resistance are important.
With a wide recommended nozzle temperature range, moderate heated bed requirement, and good material toughness, K5 PETG fits well into professional, educational, and hobbyist workflows that need reliable results across a broad range of printed parts.
