The innovative WASP extruder for printing fluid-dense materials improves its performance thanks to a steel screw designed to triple the extrusion flow. With LDM WASP Extruder 3.0 you can create your projects in materials such as clay, porcelain, and stoneware. Optimized for best performance and ease of use.

Adaptability

After printing the support cover that allows it to be adapted to other 3D printers - whose source files can be downloaded on the WASP website - the assembly of the WASP LDM extruder on other machines is very simple: just connect the extruder instead of the usual thread puller and set the value of E in "number of steps per millimetre" to 400. These settings are provided by the main slicing software, Slic3r or Cura.

Design

The extruder is based on two principles of extrusion: the pressure tank which pushes the dough towards the extruder and the machine-controlled screw which precisely defines the exit of the material out of the nozzle. In this way, the printer is excellent even in complex pieces with many shrinkages.

The extruder structure has been designed to be easily disassembled and cleaned in all its parts.
