The MakerBot True Colour PLA is a non-toxic resin made of sugar and has a nice smell when heated. PLA is environmentally friendly, which means it’s safe to use in domestic environments and around children. MakerBot True Colour PLA is the perfect filament to start with as it’s simple to use and performs well.

Every MakerBot True Colour PLA is quality tested at high (100 micron) and medium (200 micron) layer resolutions on all MakerBot Replicator Printers to ensure you will print the best quality 3D prints possible at the quickest speed. The MakerBot True Colour PLA has a consistently round diameter ensuring the highest print quality and consistent flow through. Every filament colour also undergoes long duration testing using a large 3D model that requires 18 – 24 hours of print time to ensure that there are no deviances in print quality. Every millimetre of MakerBot True Colour PLA has been subjected to stringent laser testing and it’s packaged on spools to prevent tangles and “bird nests.”

MakerBot PLA Adhesion
The MakerBot True Colour PLA filament adheres well to acrylic and you can also use blue tape to ensure your 3D prints adhere to your build plate and can be removed without damage being caused.
