REFLECON® Tarnish 90 is a solvent-based 3D scanning spray developed for optical measurement applications requiring a stable, non-sublimating matte coating. Using an Adamantane-based formulation that is TiO2 free, it produces a consistent white surface layer that improves scan contrast and reduces reflections on challenging materials. Unlike sublimating sprays, Tarnish 90 remains on the surface until manually removed, making it suitable for longer scanning sessions, repeat inspections, or workflows requiring extended coating stability.

Tarnish 90 is designed for structured light scanning, laser scanning, and industrial metrology where coating durability is preferred over automatic evaporation. The spray supports strong adhesion of reference markers and applies evenly at a recommended spray distance of 20–30cm. It is compatible with a wide range of materials, although PET, PVC, PS, ABS, PMMA, PC, and PU/PUR materials should be assessed before use. The stable coating behaviour makes Tarnish 90 suitable for complex inspections, repeated measurements, and larger scanning projects where consistent surface preparation is important.
