The new Method X & Labs Extruder Bundle means that with any MakerBot Method X or Method X Carbon Fibre 3D Printer, you can get a MakerBot Labs Extruder for FREE!.

The MakerBot METHOD X 3D Printer is one of the most intelligent 3D printers on the market combining industry expertise and technologies from Stratasys. Produce dimensionally accurate end-use parts (not just prototypes) that fit on the first try regardless of their complexity and can go from print to immediate use. And combined with the LABS Experimental Extruder

Method X Materials

The Method X can print with ABS, ASA, PC-ABS, and PC-ABS FR. ABS is MakerBot's toughest material, found in many common products such as LEGOS, computer keys, power-tool housings, and automotive parts. Because MakerBot's ABS doesn't have any of the extra additives added to it like most desktop ABS filaments do, It is capable of withstanding 15°C higher temperatures, is 26% more rigid and 12% stronger. And now the MakerBot METHOD X is compatible with Stratasys® SR-30 soluble support material for unlimited complexity and over hangs.

Method X Carbon Fibre Materials

As well as being able to print with the same materials as the standard Method X, the Method X Carbon Fibre can also print with N12 Carbon Fibre & N6 Carbon Fibre. Carbon fibre reinforced nylon is optimized for high strength, stiffness, and heat resistance making it ideal for structural applications and metal replacements.

LABS Experimental Extruder

The MakerBot LABS Experimental Extruder easily swaps into the model material slot of METHOD and METHOD X for unlimited material testing options and optimisation.

Built on the same industrial architecture as the Performance Extruder for METHOD, the Experimental Extruder brings power and precision with the added benefit of interchangeable nozzle assemblies.

Print Durable End-Use Parts

3D printing is utilised when production numbers do not justify the time and expense of developing traditional tooling. It can also give designers the freedom to design without geometric constraints, leading to innovative solutions. Unlike the first Method, the MakerBot METHOD X can print production-grade ABS for complex, accurate and durable end-use parts. You can create prototypes or press-fit production floor parts and manufacturing tools that can be used straight out the printer.

100°C Heated Chamber

You can print ABS in temperatures of up to 100°C thanks the circulating heated chambers. This means warping and cracking of the filament will be dramatically decreased while dimensional accuracy of your print will be increased.

Dual Extruders & Support System

Use the MakerBot METHOD X Model 1XA or 1C & Support 2XA Extruders with MakerBot's production-grade filaments and SR-30 water soluble support material for complex, accurate and durable end-use parts (not just prototypes) that have complex over-hangs. You can create prototypes or press-fit production floor parts and manufacturing tools that can be used straight out the printer.
